VW Golf GT TSi 1.4 system now available
Just fitted a Milltek resonated exhaust on my '08 R8! Man...what a sound...should have done this ages ago. It's not too loud, just a little louder, and enough that I'm driving everywhere with the window cracked open!
Milltek Sport has developed a complete turbo-back stainless steel performance exhaust system for the new Mk5 VW Golf GT TSi 1.4. The system is available as either a cat-back system or as a complete turbo-back system. The cat-back system consists of a flexible pipe (to allow a small amount of movement), front connecting pipe, either a front silencer or front silencer replacement pipe (depending on how loud you like your exhaust to be), a rear connecting pipe and rear silencer with twin 76.2mm tailpipes. Whether you choose to go with the front silencer or front silencer replacement pipe, the Milltek exhaust makes a deeper and sportier tone than standard and either option will be at a volume that remains comfortable inside the car. The twin tailpipes complete the system by subtly but effectively enhancing the appearance of the rear of the car.

The full turbo-back system brings a large-bore downpipe and hi-flow sports catalyst in addition to the cat-back system. Not only does this further reduce backpressure and substantially boost gas flow but also, because it’s located within close proximity to the turbo outlet, it allows the turbo to spool up quicker and earlier in the rev range. The use of a high-quality Platinum-coated stainless steel catalyst means that emissions levels are maintained within legal limits.

If you choose to have a cat-back system only you can always fit the downpipe and catalyst at a later date.

The Golf GT car that Milltek used for developing the new performance exhaust system has been transformed into a racing car for the VW Racing Cup. The car uses exactly the same exhaust system that is available to all our customers. The car was dyno-tested and showed a figure of 167bhp. After fitting the full Milltek exhaust system and Superchips remap, the car was retested and showed a massive output of 225bhp - that's an increase of 58bhp - from a 1.4!!!
